Charlie Murphy Laid to Rest, Dave Chappelle and More in Attendance

Charlie Murphy was laid to rest on Wednesday, according to multiple social media posts from stars and family who attended the funeral service for the late comedian.

Murphy, older brother to actor/comedian Eddie Murphy, died in a New York City hospital at 57 last week after battling leukemia.

Charlie's family and friends gathered in New Jersey on Wednesday evening to celebrate his life during a memorial service.

Dave Chappelle, George Lopez, Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin, Neal Brennan, D.L. Hughley, and Donnell Rawlings all posed for a photo together at the emotional event.

Chance The Rapper wrote: "Charlie Murphy was a great man. God bless, we already miss you".

After his death, Charlier Murphy's family said in a statement to E! He also appeared in the TV series Are We There Yet?, Black Jesus, The Boondocks, and Chappelle's Show, and he hosted his own comedy show, Charlie Murphy's Law, in 2014. Thank you for the outpouring of condolences and prayers.

Undercover Brother actor Eddie Griffin took to Instagram to share the photo. His film credits included Night at the Museum, Mo' Better Blues, The Players Club, Harlem Nights, and Norbit, in which he voiced Floyd the Dog.
