Wizards' Oubre: Olynyk hits led to outburst

"We're going to beat their ass in Game 4", Green told local reporters.

Wizards fans are probably not thrilled with Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk at the moment, after he set an illegal high screen on Washington's Kelly Oubre (who reacted and was subsequently ejected/suspended for a game).

Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has been suspended for Game 4 for charging and knocking over Boston Celtics big man Kelly Olynyk. Olynyk admits he saw Oubre's frustration build up over a series of plays.

The chippy game included two more ejections beyond Oubre's and a total of eight technical fouls.

Isaiah Thomas seemed to be irritated that Green would lob any "dirty" allegations at another player, given his past indiscretions on the court. "We're just competing and trying to win, and they did that today".

"We just have to corral him", said Wizards forward Markieff Morris. Game 4 is Sunday in Washington. Thomas scored 17 of his 19 points in the first half and took exception to the fact that he didnt get to the free-throw line in the game.

Oubre was assessed a flagrant 2 and ejected from the game.

Thomas has a four-piece temporary bridge that cracked when he was re-injured and replaced at halftime of Game 3. One of the league's more underrated facilitators, Hill is second on the team with 15.6 points per game in the playoffs.

Isaiah Thomas says Kelly Olynyk isn't dirty.

Brooks said at that point he hadn't yet spoken with Oubre, but said he would let his player know he has to let the officials make those calls, and the referees got it right before Oubre lost his cool. "He had wide-open looks and they made an adjustment and I think we did a good job of figuring that out". Unlike in the opening two games, those players kept Thomas from finding a rhythm and Boston's attack suffered. Boston coughed the ball up six times during Washington's 26-0 run, and most of those mistakes resulted in easy transition buckets for the Wizards on the other end.

Green, however, has little room to call another player "dirty". "I know who I am". Kelly just stayed back.

"I'm not sure where that narrative starts", said Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. "We have to bring the same defensive intensity that we had the two games that we had here because when we played there we didn't play great defense and we still had a chance to win those games".
