South Pasadena Father of 5-Year-Old Boy Missing Since April Arrested on Suspicion of Murder: LASD

After a two-month search for five-year-old Aramazd Andressian Jr., Andressian Sr. was taken into custody at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) with $10 million bail, according to KTLA News.

Los Angeles sheriff's officials have not provided specifics on any new evidence they may have uncovered that prompted Andressian's renewed arrest. The #father is under suspicion of murdering his 5-year-old son Aramazd Andressian Jr.

Aramazd Andressian is shown in a booking photo released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on June 23, 2017. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says the father of a 5-year-old who has been missing for two months has been arrested on suspicion of his son's murder.

Further details were not provided and weren't expected until Monday morning, police said.

The boy's dad was arrested Friday afternoon in Las Vegas, and law enforcement investigators said Andressian has already been charged with murder.

The elder Andressian was initially jailed for three days on $10 million bail before being released after the child was reported missing. Andressian was found unconscious in a park and his son was nowhere to be found. His vehicle was found nearby doused with gasoline, and he had no explanation for his son's disappearance.

He was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and child abduction, and was not forthcoming with investigators, giving conflicting statements, sheriff's officials told Noozhawk in April.

Authorities say the boy was last seen April 20 with his father, leaving Disneyland in Anaheim.

Detectives also served a warrant at the Montebello home of the boy's paternal grandmother on May 25.

A day earlier, his auto had been spotted at Cachuma Lake - 120 miles northwest of Los Angeles - but surveillance footage subsequently showed he went there alone. "I am counting the days until I see you honey and I will never stop looking for you", she said.

About a week after the child vanished, Andressian Sr. released a statement through his attorney, saying he was "heartbroken and grief-stricken" about the missing boy, and that he was "desperate" to find his son.

They have combed Arroyo Seco Park in South Pasadena where the father was found several times in the past few months, using dogs and drones to help in the search.

"I will continue to believe my son is alive until (he is) found", she said.

Rewards totalling $30,000 have been offered for information leading to the boy's safe return.
