Surface Laptop owners can now revert back to Windows 10 S

After that, it's $50 for the upgrade, and will presumably cost you each time you want to upgrade again after factory resetting back to Windows 10 S. Although, it's possible you could save your Windows 10 Pro license and reuse it later.

The issue is mostly with the exam software SofTest, which does not support the Creator version or any Surface Book excluding the Surface Pro.

Forget about screws, the Surface Laptop is nearly entirely held together by glue and clips.

The guts of the device aren't much better.

There has been a change in the power supply as well, offering 2.58A and 15V of output, with 25% more than Surface Pro 4.

The Surface Laptop is a lovely looking device which has great standard specs for a non-gaming laptop and can be configured with the latest Core i5 and i7 processors from Intel, from 4GB to 16GB of RAM, and from 128GB to 1TB of PCIe storage.

The notebook sports a keyboard covered with Alcantara which resembles suede material but is more resistant to stains. The Pro will be running a full-fledged version of the Windows operating system in the form of Windows Pro, rather than the stripped-down Windows S version Microsoft is shipping with the Surface Laptop. The company is also hyping the new model's improved kickstand, which allows the device to be propped up at more angles, making it more attractive as a drawing surface.

Overall this new Surface Laptop is harder to fix than the Surface Book which scored a 1/10 rating thanks to the ability to replace the SSD.

As you can see from the video - and you most certainly should watch it, because it's hilarious at the very least - the laptop is essentially unrepairable. The new Pen features might be attractive for artists but for those with basic productivity, there shouldn't be a reason for rushing.
