Trump tweets his frustration with Russia investigation

In a two-part tweet posted before 7am local time on Sunday, he wrote: "The MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN agenda is doing very well despite the distraction of the Witch Hunt".

"The MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN agenda is doing very well despite the distraction of the Witch Hunt". "Trump continued, "...massive regulation cuts, 36 new legislative bills, great new S.C.Justice, [sic] and Infrastructure, Healthcare and Tax Cuts in the works!". Trump said in a series of tweets.

Trump also boasted about his 50 percent approval rating in a Rasmussen daily tracking poll, which has been an outlier since he took office.

The latest RealClearPolitics aggregation of polling data, which includes Rasmussen, has Donald Trump's approval rating at 40%.

Dianne Feinstein, top Democrat on the US Senate Judiciary Committee, said she was "increasingly concerned" that Trump will fire both Mueller and Rosenstein.

The US President announced on Friday that he was being investigated for firing former FBI Director James Comey, and seemingly trained his guns on deputy attorney general accusing him of overseeing a "witch hunt" against him. Trump is accused of firing FBI director James Comey over his refusal to steer the Russian Federation investigation away from former national security adviser and Trump ally Mike Flynn.

A source on Trump's legal team claimed the president was referring to a Washington Post story "from the other night" rather than confirming he is being investigated.
