CHELSEA playmaker Pedro will leave the club's preseason tour and return to England after suffering a concussion during its 3-0 win over English Premier League rival Arsenal in Beijing on Saturday.

After 29 minutes, Boga, who spent last season on loan in Spain with Granada, was called from the bench to replace Pedro, who was taken off after a nasty collision with Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina.

The Spanish winger will miss the rest of Chelsea's pre-season tour of Asia following the clash with Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina midway through the first half. Pedro himself took to social media to deliver a similar message, saying that "everything is ok".

"Pedro stayed in hospital overnight in Beijing for observation having sustained a concussion and facial injuries in last night's game against Arsenal", Chelsea said in a statement on its official website.

"He will now return to London for further review", the club added.

"He went to hospital but he will be OK", the Italian told Chelsea TV.

'It is a pity because in this period it is not good to have this type of injury but he should be okay'.

The Blues will line up against Arsenal for a second time in pre-season as they contest the Community Shield at Wembley.
