WWE Issues Major Programming Change For Talking Smack

One of the staples of WWE Network original programming is having its broadcast schedule significantly reduced. According to PWinsider.com, the WWE has chose to stop airing the show weekly, but will still have it following Smackdown Live pay-per-views.

While Dave Meltzer reported that Talking Smack was cancelled because of lower viewership, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is saying otherwise.

Check out WWE's official statement below. Despite plans for occasional Talking Smack shows after SmackDown-specific pay-per-views, the long-term plan, per McMahon, is to eradicate the program. The report adds Vince was ultimately not happy with the show and felt it was not in the company's best interests to continue airing it on a weekly basis.

And while reps for the WWE confirmed the show's cancellation, the pro wrestling league apparently neglected to inform the show's hosts about the decision, with Young commenting sarcastically on a tweet about the show's demise.
