Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper left the first inning of Saturday's game with an apparent knee injury. The game had been delayed three hours due to rain before resuming.

Harper slipped on the bag, had to be helped off field.

Following his groundout in his only at-bat, Harper is batting.326 on the season with a.419 on-base percentage.

The 24-year-old Harper is a five-time All-Star and was the National League MVP in 2015. The unquestioned face of the Nationals franchise, he is under contract for just one more season before his much anticipated free agency commences. With Adam Eaton already out for the year with a torn ACL, the World Series contenders are getting thin in the outfield. He is the anchor of the Nationals' lineup and has led them to a 68-45 mark, best in the NL East.
