The eagerly anticipated Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has just announced that seven members of its original West End production will be in New York City when the play begins previews in March 2018 at the Lyric Theatre. The official opening at the renovated theater is slated for April 22, 2018.

Also returning will be Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger, Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley, Poppy Miller as Ginny Potter, Sam Clemmett as Albus Potter, and Alex Price as Draco Malfoy. They're appearing with the support of Actors' Equity Association.

Rounding out the rest of the cast will be David Abeles, Brian Abraham, Shirine Babb, Jess Barbagallo, Stephen Bradbury, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Joshua De Jesus, Jessie Fisher, Richard Gallagher, Susan Heyward, Geraldine Hughes, Edward James Hyland, Byron Jennings, Katie Kreisler, Joey LaBrasca, Andrew Long, Kathryn Meisle, Angela Reed, Dave Register, Adeola Role, James Romney, Malika Samuel, Alanna Saunders, David St. Louis, Stuart Ward, Madeline Weinstein, Alex Weisman, and Benjamin Wheelwright.

Director John Tiffany said, "We have assembled an extraordinary cast for Broadway".

Based on a new story by Rowling, director John Tiffany and Jack Thorne, and written by Thorne, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" follows the grown-up Hogwarts gang and their children, who've inherited unwished for legacies.

That trio and four other British actors will lead the cast of one of the most hotly anticipated productions of the Broadway season. Both parts are meant to be seen in order on the same day (matinée and evening) or on consecutive evenings. US Casting by Jim Carnahan, CSA.

Seven members of the original London cast will perform in the NY production, which opens at Broadway's Lyric Theatre on April 22, 2018.

The two-part play - which is sold out until 2019 - sees Rowling's world of Harry Potter brought to life years in the future after the boy wizard has had children of his own. Tickets go on sale October 12 through Ticketmaster Verified Fan, following a registration period set for October 1-5.
