While the Pakistan Cricket Board is still awaiting official security clearance from the Punjab government for the tour to go ahead, the proposal involves a three-match T20 series against the Pakistan national team, which would be recognised as full internationals by the ICC.

"It will basically pave the way for the return of worldwide cricket to Pakistan and also for the PSL to be played in its home country".

Notably, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has its hopes high that the company will submit a positive report and it will witness the return of the worldwide team to Pakistan. The company is based in three countries - the United Kingdom, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates - and has a good repute. The chairman of PCB, Najam Sethi has said, "The ICC is helping us in our endeavors to revive worldwide cricket in Pakistan".

"He further added, "A representative of the Federation of International Cricketers (FICA) will accompany the security company to personally monitor the security situation in Lahore".

Sethi also mentioned that the security team will visit Pakistan every year, with the ICC paying them US$400,000 for every visit.

Additionally, a report from First Cricket suggests that the appointment of an global security agency in Pakistan will serve a two-way objective.

First, the global governing body of the sport has taken the thought of bringing worldwide cricket back to Pakistan after almost a decade on a very serious note.

The initiative of hiring an worldwide security agency to assess conduciveness in Pakistan is a two-fold assessment.
