One person is dead after a tour bus struck several pedestrians near the back of a SUV at a popular downtown Vancouver tourist spot on Sunday morning.

"From the information gathered so far, the bus was travelling at low speeds when it collided with a parked vehicle", said Robillard. Police later issued a news release saying that a 49-year-old man had died. Responders were seen performing CPR on him before he was taken to hospital. First responders used wood to rescue another man who was also trapped.

Sgt. Jason Robillard said that a 15-year-old girl remains in hospital with minor injuries and an elderly man is still in serious condition.

He said he saw fire rescue crews pull three people from under the bus. The driver was still in his seat during the rescue and appeared distraught.

"I heard the sound, the crash".

The Vancouver Trolley Company has confirmed the bus is one of theirs. The side of the bus said it was the free shuttle to the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

With reports from CTV Vancouver's Breanna Karstens-Smith, Scott Bills and Sarah MacDonald.
