According to The Washington Post, the search warrant was wide-ranging and agents took various records from the home.

According to Carol D. Leonnig, Tom Hamburger and Rosalind S. Helderman of the Post, a search warrant was issued by Federal Bureau of Investigation agents in the pre-dawn hours of July 26 - exactly 2 weeks ago today - as the agents raided the Alexandria, Virginia home of Trump's former campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

The July 26 raid occurred one day after the Senate Judiciary Committee dropped a subpoena to compel Paul Manafort to testify in the probe.

It could also have been meant to send a message to President Trump's former campaign chairman that he should not expect gentle treatment or legal courtesies from Mueller's team. The agents were armed with a search warrant that they used to seize documents and "other materials", the Post's sources say.

A spokesman for Mueller's investigation declined to comment to the Washington Post about the raid.

Manafort, who served for several months as Trump's campaign chairman before being ousted over his ties to Kremlin-backed political figures in Ukraine, is seen as a key figure in the ongoing investigation into whether Trump's campaign colluded with Russian officials to interfere with the 2016 presidential campaign. The documents are said to include notes Manafort took while attending a meeting with Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016.
