Rockhold vs Branch

"He wasn't the fight", Rockhold admits. Bisping was an afterthought.

"I found my focus and found my health and those are the keys to the game", he said.

Of course, mixed martial arts is a weird and unpredictable thing. He's grown bitter, and who can blame him? Moraes winged some heavy punches Usman's way, but the latter ended the fight with a booming right hand not long after. Perry (11-1) was able to get Reyes - who was added on short notice this past week after Thiago Alves pulled out with travel issues - in a Muay Thai clinch and finished him off seconds later. But now, at least he put a scratch back in the win column.

UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. I'm not the type; I've got too much going on.

Rockhold landed a takedown and immediately went to work in the second round, putting a beating on Branch until he tapped due to strikes in the second round. Rockhold looked sluggish. All of the things he used to do better than anyone, well, he just didn't do them quite as well. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1. Rockhold then quickly transitioned to Branch's back and pummeled his face from behind.

UFC welterweight Mike Perry dominated Alex Reyes, knocking out his opponent by a brutal knee to the head midway through the first round.

After the fight, Rockhold took the opportunity to send a message to St-Pierre.

Ledet came out firing his crips jab and Anyanwu looked to find a home for his overhand right.

It was a case of Rockhold attempting to use his moment on the microphone to will into existence the future he desperately wants.

Arantes and Sanders were set to compete on the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card.

Unfortunately, the 32-year-old Californian hasn't graced that stage since June 2016, when he was upset by Michael Bisping in their rematch and lost his 185-pound title. Chris Weidman is coming off a fantastic win over a top middleweight in Kelvin Gastelum, and more importantly, Weidman is a local New York boy. Bisping won't fight Rockhold.
