For a team that had Super Bowl aspirations heading into the year, the 2017 season has been a nightmare from day one.

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie reported to the Giants facility on Thursday morning, according to an NJ.com report, and the next step will be for the veteran corner and coach Ben McAdoo to discuss the length of his suspension.

Coach Ben McAdoo made the announcement Wednesday regarding Rodgers-Cromartie, who had expressed his displeasure with the coaching staff over his existing role, according to a source.

"That's all I have for you right now", McAdoo said when asked multiple follow-up questions regarding the suspension.

Rodgers-Cromartie said he'd be back at the team's facility on Thursday and multiple reports on Thursday morning indicate that is the case.

Rodgers-Cromartie told ESPN that he argued with McAdoo "about playing" during the game.

McAdoo is now not scheduled to speak with the media Thursday after practice, but requests have been made for that to change.

As a practical matter, the indefinite suspension has an end date as the CBA only allows teams to suspend players for four games.

"DRC came in [Tuesday]". We had a conversation that was personal, upstairs, and he came in today.

It appears Rodgers-Cromartie was agitated by what was taking place in the game. Janoris Jenkins left the field early in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and Eli Apple was bench during the game due to poor play. I was suspended way before I left.

The cornerback signed a five-year, $35 million deal with the Giants before the 2014 season.
