The fall of film mogul Harvey Weinstein has been as quick as it has been dramatic: From the New York Times' explosive report (paywall) on Oct. 5 detailing decades' worth of accusations of sexual harassment, to his firing on Oct. 9 by the board of the company he co-founded, to further news (paywall) the next day of accusations by multiple women (paywall), some of them superstars.

Tune in, and tell us what you think.

The Wrap founder Sharon Waxman recently accused the New York Times of backing down from a similar story in 2004 due to intense pressure from high-profile people such as Damon and Russell Crowe. But Hollywood has been run mostly by the same group of middle-aged white men for at least two decades, who have stayed relevant by swapping jobs or forming new companies of their own.

"I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did", Jolie revealed to the NYT via email.

"Even though they're making allegations from many, many years back, the only actionable conduct is within the last year - unless they can claim they made complaints to his company, the company didn't do anything and so the statute of limitations is continued", she says. All throughout the evening, he flirted and started at me as if I was a piece of meat... The new law lifting limitations for "the prosecution of rape, sodomy, lewd or lascivious acts, continuous sexual abuse of a child, oral copulation, and sexual penetration, that are committed under certain circumstances", went into effect January 1, 2017, but only applies to crimes committed after that date.

"That's the most disgusting thing". It appears that both Obama and Clinton hoped to skate past a moment of outrage without alienating a formerly powerful Hollywood ally, which demonstrates just how beholden the entire party has become to the entertainment industry for their cash and star power.

Reddock-Wright predicts that Weinstein and his lawyers will settle any lawsuits privately in order to avoid the courts and more public scrutiny. And it hasn't won an Academy Award for best picture since 2011 (The Artist) and, this year, is extremely unlikely to have a single nominee in the field. "I thought he was going to fire me", Paltrow added.

"We were talking on the sofa when he suddenly jumped on me and tried to kiss me", she said. "I had to defend myself".

Lohan has been sharply criticized on social media over the video.

Chapman, a prominent designer and the cofounder of the Marchesa brand, married Weinstein in 2007.
