Rickie Fowler has dropped only one shot in 33 holes

The 28-year-old American is the highest ranked player in the field and was flocked by umbrella-carrying fans as he made his way around the course on Friday. He fired a one-under 70 to take him to 10 under for the week.

Chasing his first TOUR title, first-round leader and second-round co-leader Patton Kizzire fashioned a 5-under-par 33-33=66 in Sunday's third round of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba to post 15-under 198, good for the 54-hole lead by one over second-round co-leader and playing competitor Rickie Fowler, who shot 67.

Veteran Brian Gay and PGA Tour rookie Brandon Harkins were another shot back in a share of 4th, both having completed 36 holes.

The leader in the clubhouse at 10-under 132 is Patton Kizzire, who followed up his first-round 62 with a much quieter one-under 70 on Friday.

Taylor had five birdies and an eagle in his bogey-free round to grab sole possession of second place.

Martin Piller could be one to watch Saturday when the second round resumes. The Auburn alum recorded 1.500 putts per GIR with just 23 total putts.
