Draxler: No tension with Neymar

Bayern Munich are said to be monitoring the 24-year-old as they step up their search for a long-term successor to Franck Ribery, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last month, and Draxler conceded a move back to his homeland would appeal more than a move to the Premier League.

However that did not stop his PSG teammate Julian Draxler strolling into the France dressing room to give him some banter ahead of a friendly in Cologne tonight. "I believe that this is part and parcel of life as a superstar like Neymar".

Liverpool and Arsenal have been monitoring the midfielder for a number of years, but he maintains Paris Saint-Germain is the club for him.

"There was the story of the penalty with Edinson, which was settled after one or two days", Draxler added. However, everybody else kept talking about it for four or five weeks afterwards.

Germany midfielder Julian Draxler has denied rumours that he is looking for a Swift exit from PSG after signing for the Ligue 1 club last January from Wolfsburg for a fee of 40 million euros. He is a young man, full of respect, who knows how important he is to the team. I don't know exactly. "The other players are not jealous or angry about this".

Manager Unai Emery eventually pulled the plug on Draxler's departure in the belief he could play a role for the club domestically and in the Champions League, but it remains to be seen whether he can play enough to retain his place in the Germany squad for the 2018 World Cup.

It all looks like good fun and games between the pair who have been at the heart of PSG's strong start to the season.
