Sony Interactive Entertainment Technolgoy Sony Gives Week Long Deals for Black Friday Sale By Todd Casey

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Plus Open Multiplayer Event will run from November 15th-20th, 2017.

For five days this week PlayStation 4 online multiplayer will not require PlayStation Plus. There's no need to sign up, just simply connect your PS4 to the internet and you're good to go.

For starters, all PlayStation VR units will be reduced by R1000.

The specials are available through participating retailers (BT Games, C.N.A, Dion Wired, Game, Game4U, Hi Fi Corporation, Incredible Connection, Loot, Makro, Pick 'n Pay, Raru, Toys R Us, and Takealot) and only while stocks last. Some offers may of course, vary from store to store. This bundle includes a 500 GB PlayStation 4 as well as DriveClub, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Ratchet and Clank.

While you won't see any chaos on the same level as the madness shown at North American Black Friday sales that our local retailers have copied with staggering 5% off discounts, you can expect to still see some hefty savings on the video game front. As such, it has quickly become a time of year whereby shoppers queue at malls before opening, and digital warriors will even forgo their carpel tunnel regimen to score a great deal.

As for PS4 console deals (which are available from 24-26 November), the PS Hits Bundle will be available at R3,999.99*.
