RB LEIPZIG forward Timo Werner has admitted being aware of the interest being shown in him by some of Europe's top sides.

RB Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has denied reports suggesting that striker Timo Werner will sign for Real Madrid next year. In addition to that, Ragnick has made a fierce stance that his star will not be joining the Spanish Giants in the near future.

He told Welt am Sonntag: "I'm a national team player at the age of 21 and I've done well so far in the national team, and things are going well in the league, so of course you'll see that other clubs keep an eye out for you, but that does not concern me at the moment".

Werner has seen the heights of fame following his remarkable performances for Leipzig.

Zinedine Zidane has not ruled out dipping into the market in January but the Bernabéu board are reluctant to recruit a number nine, largely because Vinicius Júnior, the Flamengo starlet purchased by Madrid for 45 million euros, is likely to arrive ahead of schedule next summer and also because the club is considering selling Gareth Bale due to his injury problems to make way for another forward, with Inter's Mauro Icardi under consideration. The German has scored 28 goals in 42 league appearances, taking him to Bundesliga prominence.

However, what could be scuppering a possible deal is that Werner has trouble with his ears.

Also, Werner finished the last season of Bundesliga with an impressive goal tally, rocketing his club to the position of runners-up.
