Antonio Conte has named his Chelsea squad that will take on Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge later this afternoon in a big Premier League clash.

Eden Hazard continued his scintillating form with two goals and a dominating performance converting a Moses won penalty with an impetuous Panenka after cancelling out Dwight Gayle's early opener for the visitors with a first-time strike on 21 minutes.

Chelsea recovered from a sleepy start from this 12.30-pm kick-off to overcome a deficient to tale a 2-1 half-timer lead against Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

But Chelsea, third in the table, quickly fought back, earning two corners and hitting the post before Hazard got on the end of a ball parried by defender Florian Lejeune in the 21st minute.

'I think now I'm more close to the goal so it's more easy to find the net.

Hazard capped Chelsea's victory - which moved them level with second-placed Manchester United, eight points adrift of Premier League leaders Manchester City - with a nonchalant chipped penalty.

"After this interview the majority of the fans became more relaxed and supported the team", he reflected this week.

He's not the first manager to change his formation to match up with Chelsea's back three, but the decision proved costly, as Matt Ritchie's poor defensive instincts were exposed.

Newcastle, perhaps fearful of a capitulation similar to the one they had at Old Trafford recently, sat back after the break.

Jose Mourinho made some distasteful comments whilst in charge of Chelsea, the second time around, although he never received any backlash.

Newcastle can assert their authority in games but appear not to have the players to sustain it. Benitez will easily forgive individual errors but will be fed up with the likes of Diame failing to put in a performance against the Champions.

But despite winning the Europa League and finishing third in the Premier League, Benitez was on his way out in the following May and replaced by Jose Mourinho.

There were whispers of Avram Grant being brought in again to stabilize the sinking ship.

'The boys they want me to shoot so every time in training they ask me, "Hey, come on, shoot, shoot!" "Form does dip a little bit, but we just have to try to work through that and keep doing what we've been doing".

Benitez told reporters, "All the feedback that I had from the professionals and the board was very positive".
