The Algeria international has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who could make a January move to Manchester City.

Riyad Mahrez won't consider a move to Arsenal given the north London club's dramatic regression, according to former Chelsea midfielder Dennis Wise.

The heavily-criticised Liverpool defence has conceded just four goals in their last 13 home league games and now have Virgil van Dijk to call on.

Former Watford manager Quique Sanchez Flores is 1-3 to be the next Potters manager with Martin O'Neill out to 9-4 and former West Ham boss Slaven Bilic 14-1 having been odds-on at one point.

The African playmaker has emerged as a potential target to Liverpool FC over the past week following Philippe Coutinho's big-money move to La Liga giants Barcelona.

"I don't think Mahrez would want to go there", he told Sky Sports. If Arsenal are the only team above the top six, of course he'd go to Arsenal.

The Reds have been strongly linked with the Leicester attacker following the departure of their Brazilian talisman.

The 26-year-old was named PFA Player of the Year after helping to inspire Leicester to a remarkable Premier League title triumph, but then regressed somewhat as he sought a switch elsewhere.
